Purpose of the Role
To offer exceptional Customer Service to customers, retailers, and visitors.
The purpose of the Team Leader role is to take responsibility for setting the standard and leading the team to deliver an exceptionally high professional standard of service. You will have direct line management responsibility for a large-scale multifunctional team.
To be successful in this role suitable candidates will be able to organise, lead, motivate and manage shift cleaning teams to provide an exemplary standard of cleaning to our facilities including mall areas, customer rest rooms, waste and car parking facilities. Candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to support operational management in the management of shift rotas, staff development, training, stock, and materials management and ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with compliance to health and safety and auditory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain standards of performance, discipline, and welfare for the team in accordance with company policies. Ability to focus on best practice, the Team Leader will use their creative approach and personality to influence at all levels, leading the team to meet demanding targets and deadlines
- Hands on role, working alongside your team and performing daily duties
- Supports Head of Department and perform management duties in their absence.
- Manages inventories and stock, keeping detailed records of inventory use and advising managers on ordering where necessary
- Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals through briefings and identifying areas for new training or skills required
- Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
- Assist team member with their questions or work-related problems, and work alongside team member, ensuring quality and compliance
- Conducts team briefings and communicate centre updates, always ensuring Best Practice at all times
- Ensures exceptional cleaning standards across the centre are met daily
- Provides quality customer service, including interacting face to face with customers, dealing with customer enquiries and complaints
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- A proven track record of providing excellence through a delivery team and being able to motivate, drive and set standards.
- Demonstrate excellence in oral and written communication.
- Good basic understanding of budgets and a competent commercial focus.
- Capable of managing change quickly and efficiently whilst maintaining effective service provision.
- A high energy Team Leader capable of influencing at a senior level but primarily having the ability to communicate effective instruction to delivery teams.
- Ability to work well with others and continue to deliver results under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish credibility quickly.
- Outstanding motivational and people management skills.
- True leadership skills necessary to achieve ambitious targets.
- A flexible approach and a sense of teamwork.
- Substantial experience in the supervision of people, including selection and training.
- Experience within teams where motivation and development have been key drivers.
- Must have an SIA license and be first aid trained.
- Previous working knowledge of cleaning techniques/equipment/machines in a supervisory role
Working Hours - 40hrs (Shifts – 4 on 4 off Rolling Pattern of early and lates)
Salary - £32,240 P/A, £15.50 P/H
