Purpose of the Role
A proactive and dependable team player who works closely with clients, the wider Battersea Estate team, and Savills to deliver a high-quality experience at 50 Electric Boulevard. An effective communicator who understands and supports the vision, values, culture, and behaviours expected across the development.
The role involves supporting the day-to-day operational delivery for commercial office occupiers at 50 Electric Boulevard and across the wider Battersea Estate. This includes being a consistent and reliable point of contact for occupiers, ensuring their operational needs are met efficiently and in line with the aspirational service levels expected.
Working closely with different service partners, such as engineering, security, reception, and cleaning. To ensure smooth coordination across all service areas to deliver a seamless occupier experience.
Involvement in the operational aspects of services such as reception and the light box operations is key, ensuring standards are upheld and issues are addressed promptly in line with contractual agreements.
This is a hands-on role in maintaining the high standards and brand integrity of 50 Electric Boulevard, supporting the wider team in bringing the vision of the place to life.
Additionally, the role supports the management of occupier relationships across the wider Battersea Estate. This involves regular engagement with occupiers to understand their professional needs and ensuring their experience aligns with that of a Iconic destination.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the property, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and assisting in the supervision of contractors and service partners onsite.
- Ensure Savills property management and compliance systems are kept up to date, following correct procedures and policies.
- Work alongside the Savills RISE team to deliver services that reflect the property's core principles and high standards.
- Assist in delivering a seamless occupier experience at 50 Electric Boulevard, helping to monitor operational performance through the use of KPIs and feedback systems.
- Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of BREEAM, WELL, and SmartScore accreditations by following sustainable, health-focused, and smart building practices, and by ensuring all operational activities contribute positively toward meeting accreditation standards.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in tracking performance against the business plan, highlighting issues or improvements as needed.
- Maintain exceptional standards across all front-of-house and office areas, contributing to a best-in-class customer experience.
- Represent the BPS brand in day-to-day interactions with occupiers, visitors, and contractors, embodying the values and professionalism of the site.
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement, service innovations, and the integration of new technology to enhance the occupier experience.
- Engage with occupiers to understand their ESG goals and help encourage aligned behaviours across the estate.
- Ensure consistently high standards of property presentation and customer service are delivered and upheld across all touchpoints.
- Support auditing and contract performance reviews by providing accurate site feedback and identifying areas for improvement to the site team.
- Liaise regularly with our service partners, escalating any concerns to the Operations Leadership Team or the relevant service partner contact.
- Monitor contractor activity to ensure compliance with site standards, raising any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Follow all health and safety protocols and safe working practices while contributing to a culture of safety across the site.
- Communicate clearly and professionally—both in writing and in person—with occupiers, contractors, and visitors.
- Help coordinate occupier meetings and foster strong professional relationships with occupiers through regular and effective communication.
- Encourage occupier engagement by understanding their needs and business performance, and assist in keeping CRM systems up to date.
- Act as the first point of contact for commercial occupiers, handling daily operational concerns and escalating issues where necessary.
- Assist in managing the building’s service charge budget, identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery and occupier satisfaction.
- Attend regular meetings with the wider Battersea site team, contributing updates and insights from an operational perspective.
- Be a visible presence within 50 Electric Boulevard, promoting the building’s community and using digital platforms (e.g., apps) to connect with occupiers.
- Support efforts to track and manage non-rental revenue streams within 50 Electric Boulevard in collaboration with the broader site team.
- Understand and support compliance and insurance reporting requirements, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accessible.
- Carry out reasonable requests from the Property Surveyor, ensuring strong communication with the wider site team.
- Help ensure all promotional activities are conducted safely and professionally, in line with health and safety guidelines.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team in creating a consistent and high-quality operational approach across the estate.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- IOSH qualification or equivalent Health & Safety training, with a commitment to safe working practices
- Strong interpersonal and teamworking skills with the ability to support change and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in facilities operations within office or hospitality settings (ideally both); able to work independently and take initiative.
- Excellent customer and occupier service standards, with a strong sense of pride in the presentation and condition of the building.
- Experience in supporting and supervising contractors, ensuring quality and safety standards are met on site.
- Proactive and detail-oriented; able to stay calm under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Supportive team player who contributes to team performance and fosters a positive working environment.
- Basic understanding of commercial leases and the roles of landlords and occupiers, with a willingness to learn more in this area.
- Clear and professional communicator, both in writing and when speaking with occupiers, visitors, and colleagues.
- Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and how it applies in day-to-day property operations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to respond quickly to site needs and priorities.
- Eager to learn and grow within the role; open to training and professional development opportunities.
- General education to GCSE level or equivalent, including English and Maths (A–C or equivalent).
- Some experience communicating with external agencies such as police, fire service, or other enforcement bodies is beneficial.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for reporting, logging, and communication tasks.
Working Hours - 9 – 5.30 Monday to Friday (flexibility)
Salary - £80,000
