Front of House Receptionist - 22 Golden Square, London
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person.
Purpose of the Role
The main purpose of the role is to maintain a presence on the front reception desk offering assistance to all personnel visiting and utilising the building from daily visitors to permanent tenants. Sustain a professional outlook to delivering an exceptional service and creating a lasting impression to all. You will be based at Ground floor Reception and therefore represent the building and will be a first point of contact for all visitors
Key Responsibilities
- Provide an exceptional front-of-house service, ensuring all visitors, tenants, and contractors receive a warm, professional, and efficient welcome.
- Maintain a five-star presentation standard in the reception area, ensuring it remains clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times.
- Manage all telephone, intercom, and email enquiries in a professional manner, ensuring queries are dealt with promptly or redirected appropriately.
- Build strong, professional relationships with occupiers, visitors, clients, and contractors, becoming the first point of contact for any assistance required within the building.
- Manage visitor access, including sign-in, verification, and coordination with occupiers before allowing visitors in the building.
- Manage access control systems, CCTV, and issue access fobs while maintaining accurate records of usage and inventory.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, deliveries, and courier collections efficiently, maintaining appropriate logs and ensuring safe handover.
- Manage the use of the ground floor flexible workspace, ensuring refreshments are replenished and the area remains ready for use.
- Support the coordination and delivery of onsite events, including café and event space bookings, catering orders, Eventbrite listings, and setup of furniture or equipment.
- Promote and support the sale of event space by providing tours and information to potential clients.
- Order and manage building supplies such as milk, fruit, toiletries, and office consumables through regular stock reviews and weekly orders (Tesco, Amazon, catering, etc.).
- Complete ad hoc tasks for the Facilities Management (FM) team, including daily checks, defibrillator and electric stair lift inspections, and assisting during FM team absences.
- Assist with contractor management in accordance with site procedures and support H&S compliance at all times.
- Report building or maintenance issues to the FM Team promptly and monitor progress of reported jobs.
- Maintain and update reception and operational manuals, ensuring all procedures are clearly documented and current.
- Be proactive in responding to emergencies and act as the first point of contact for emergency services if required.
- Demonstrate flexibility to support early starts, late finishes, or ad hoc events as needed (overtime will be provided).
- Uphold company standards, policies, and procedures at all times, ensuring a professional and consistent approach to service delivery.
Training Requirements (Desirable)
- SIA Licence / CCTV and Access Fobs Training
- Fire Marshal Certification
- First Aid & Defibrillator Training
- Manual Handling Training (including portering and event setup tasks)

Essential

- Pleasant telephone manner and efficiency in relaying messages and taking instructions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to deal with confidential information.

- Willingness and ability to learn on the job, keen to undertake training and career development.
- A positive attitude, and a visible passion for customer services.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel and Power Point
Working Hours - 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary - £34,334.04
