In this pivotal position, you'll deliver outstanding operational expertise and planning across all year-round events, enlivenment and commercialisation activities on the 67-acre mixed-use King's Cross estate. Collaborating closely with internal placemaking teams and client management, you'll bring our seasonal events calendar and enlivenment strategy to life with precision and flair, in accordance with the King’s Cross Group’s Customer Experience, Marketing, Events & Enlivenment strategies. Supporting the Head of Experience in delivering first-class experience management aligned to the King Cross purpose.
Supporting the Head of Experience and the wider estate team, you'll champion first-class estate management aligned with the King's Cross vision. Prioritising "brilliant basics" – such as consistent delivery, accurate reporting, operational work streams and efficient time management – you'll ensure we achieve our business goals while fostering innovation through cutting-edge processes, technology, and empowered partnerships.
By cultivating a collaborative, inspiring culture, you'll unite the Event operational team around client objectives, driving logistics and operations in a bustling, ever-evolving environment. This position will be responsible for leading the Experience Events Team, while managing all the events production agencies and commercial activations across the public realm, as well as retail and commercial occupier customer events. You will achieve this by enhancing the value of King’s Cross through excellent customer experience, well maintained and efficiently run activations and thorough effective budget management.
Managing all operational and risk aspects of events and activations will be key to ensure the compliance of all H&S documentation; safe set up and break out of all events, with the ambition of this leading to all occupiers and visitors to King’s Cross engaged via a vibrant and colourful events and experience programme.
Ensuring compliance with regulations and Savills’ procedural standards, managing customer relationships and supporting the delivery of asset value through a seven-day operation.
As a member of the Experience Team, the role will support the Head of Experience in delivering the King’s Cross strategy and form a part of the senior team members’ responsible for developing and implementing a ‘one team’ work culture across the Experience Team.
Key Responsibilities
· Working with other customer facing team members and King’s Cross Customer Experience and Event & Enlivenment Team you will mobilise events end-to-end, coordinating to ensure the effective delivery of a variety of events to budget.
· You will represent King’s Cross, ensuring you demonstrate the KX values and exemplify our customer experience strategy.
· Collaboration with cross-functional teams to determine event goals, objectives, and strategies.
· Deliver and manage the portfolio of events, enlivenment and commercialisation activations across the entire Estate. Oversee event logistics, and supervise on-site event operations, resolving any challenges that may arise prior to, during and after events.
· Manage all event-related documentation, from initial proposals, designs, mood-boards, presentation schedules, reports and meeting minutes to post-event summaries, lessons-learnt and analytics.
· Manage post-event reporting including devising and implementing effective feedback processes.
· Create and foster strong relationships with internal departments, customers, and external suppliers.
· Collaborate closely with the KXG Senior Events & Enlivenment Manager, then KCES Neighbourhood Manager, Engagement Manager, KXG Marketing & Communication Teams to align event strategies, communication, advertising and execution.
· Assist in event marketing, contributing to promotional campaigns and activities across various media platforms, collaborating with marketing teams on event materials and collateral, ensuring consistent branding and messaging.
· Support KXG with estate-wide events and business-to-business strategic interfaces i.e. Summer Sounds, The Screen on The Canal.
· Drive continuous improvement, analysing event outcomes and gathering feedback to enhance future event planning and execution.
· To represent the events department as a senior member of the Experience Team (which includes the Retail, Neighbourhood/Comms Engagement, Social Value, B2C / B2B Events and Guest Services departments), working collaboratively to deliver the CX and Event & Enlivenment strategies of KXG
· Lead and manage the events team across all aspects of administration, reporting, coaching & mentoring and introducing best practice initiatives. Re-assess and implement best practice event management including documentation of operations notes, inter-department and multiple stakeholder communications
· To co-ordinate and chair event delivery meetings as well as attend Event & Enlivenment meetings along with Head of Experience
· Attend retail, neighbourhood and building forums and be prepared to present event updates including outlining potential operational impacts to occupiers.
· Attend regular local authority event meetings and be prepared to present event logistics updates.
· Manage all booking and production agents, 3rd Party contacts and event contractors to ensure they understand what standards are required in relation to quality of events and experience expected on site.
· Manage the set-up/breakdown operation of each event aligned with strict health & safety compliance.
· To manage all logistics involved with each event and liaise with all stakeholders and customers to ensure all are aware of event activities.
· To ensure the event’s calendar of events on Asana is managed by the Events team and kept up to date, as well as ensure the legal tracker and event related documents such as The Event Handbook and application forms are kept updated. Ensure that the event calendar is circulated to all stakeholders to keep them informed on a regular basis.
· Planning out the implementation of Martyn’s Law across all Estate activations, alongside the Head of Security and Head of Estate
· Implement a new KX Commercialisation strategy as agreed with KXG
· Responsible for ensuring that the 3rd party service agreement with any commercialisation 3rd party sales agency covers the collection of all relevant compliance documentation including – the relevant levels of insurance required for each booking, RAMS, planning permissions (where applicable), PAT documentation (where applicable) and rates liabilities
· To manage the event, filming and commercialisation enquiry process including presenting viable event opportunities to the client for consideration.
· Responsible to work with the Finance and Surveying Teams to ensure the correct accounting of all commercialisation income in line with the agreed billing process
· Under direction from the Head of Experience, ensure that health & safety, emergency procedures and safe working practices are enforced and conform to current legislation. Ensure that all relevant H&S documentation is in place for each event prior to the event being signed off.
· To ensure all H&S procedures are followed by all event contractors whilst on site from set up to break out and throughout the duration of any event.
· To ensure the relevant licenses have been obtained and agreed for events.
· Liaise with all relevant departments to ensure the smooth operation of events e.g. Health & Safety, Security, Estates Team and Fabric, Engineering and Environmental Services.
· Ensure event operations adhere to Estate sustainability initiatives and work with event partners to drive for the highest standards in this area.
· There is a requirement to oversee events on site, where necessary, which will involve working out of office hours and weekends (time back in lieu).
· Owning the management of the operational events budget having budgetary control for all event related activities.
· Liaise with client and their respective communications agencies on event logistics updates.
· Advance good customer experience and relationships with appropriate customer representatives and propagate open communication and flow of information on building and estate issues. Work with them to assess an events impact, feedback and to field their enquiries.
· Hold a personal license and to be named as the designated premises supervisor and manage the delegating process of the premise’s licenses.
· You will stay updated with industry trends and best practices, incorporating innovative ideas into event strategies.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
· IOSH or NEBOSH
· Excellent customer service skills and a track record of implementing successful Events and Enlivenment projects in a fast-paced estate or development.
· Strong management experience gained within high-profile office and mixed-use developments.
· Able to collaborate and partner with the key stakeholders to deliver a high-class event planning.
· Able to represent Savills’ and client interests at meetings, events and within the Central London Savills’ community.
· A strong understanding of Events management and to have at least 3- 5 years’ experience in a senior role in event management, preferably on Estate/Public realm.
· A proven track record in managing and motivating on-site Events teams and operational management service partners.
· Experience of managing service charge/events budgets and major CAPEX projects.
· Strong commercial acumen.
· Strong leadership skills to build and maintain a high-performing team, effectively manage, and motivate the team to achieve a high level of performance, to exceed targets and overreach expectations and to retain talent.
· Being able to demonstrate and deliver commercialisation opportunities.
· Strong knowledge of H&S in delivery of events.
· Good communicator on all aspects from team on the ground to client representatives.
· Excellent customer service skills and a track record of implementing successful customer orientated activities.
Working Hours - 5 days a week, 9am - 5.30pm (with flexibility for event oversight, including out-of-hours and weekends; time off in lieu provided)
