Cleaning Operative 16hrs - Clacton Shopping Village
Join our cleaning team at Clacton Shopping Village, keeping customer areas, facilities and external spaces clean, safe and welcoming across a varied 16-hour role.
Purpose of the Role
Role: To clean the areas with the demise to a high standard and be able to work on your own Initiative
Key Responsibilities
Ability to work on your own in the cleaning tasks as inducted and trained upon.
Understanding the H&S requirements to ensure you and others entering your work area are safe at all times.
Timekeeping the hours are fixed and cannot be adjusted.
To undertake cleaning duties in areas as directed by the Site
To report maintenance issues immediately, e.g. broken equipment, defective lighting any H&S issues
To be inform the SMR Area Manager or any ordering and maintaining cleaning equipment stock.
To clean customer toilets.
To clean the visitor centre, office, toilets, kitchenette etc IF required
To sweep and litter pick the external areas and car parks as required.
To deal with any stains on the concourse by manual method or use of pressure washer.
To deal with any sharps and needles etc if located in the external areas (PPE and pickers provided)
To deal with all waste to the designated waste bins
If the Truck has a defective manually move 240L 550L and 1100L wheelie bins around the service road to the relevant compactors
To clean any other area not defined herein if trained to do so.
To have an understanding and comply with all COSHH regulations.
To work within the relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
To attend training courses as identified and agreed for appropriate development.
This is not intended to be a complete and full list of responsibilities other tasks may be required from time to time.
To assist in any other cleaning task that may be required and work with the other cleaning team and understand that the role whilst waste and externals may be at times internal tasks as directed
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Previous experience in a similar environment would be advantageous
A clean drivers license would be advantageous and if not physically able to move the bins noted herein
Working Hours
Saturday 08:00-18:00
Sunday 08:00-16:00
Total 16hrs
1 hr unpaid break on both days
