Tenancy Progressor (FTC) - Thames Quarter, Reading

Purpose of the Role
To provide support to the progression team in the delivery of a high quality service for the benefit of tenants and our Client. Working on a large Build to Rent portfolio, supporting both office and site based teams. The successful candidate will be a good team player with strong organisational and communication skills (both verbal and written), have the ability to work under pressure and a willingness to learn. A self-motivated individual, they will also be able to demonstrate reliability, flexibility and initiative.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the general tenancy administration of properties under the direction of the Portfolio Manager(s)
Deal with enquiries from tenants, third party referencing companies, utility providers, local authorities, etc
Following the tenancy journey from offer stage to move in, including ID checks, referencing applicants, issuing Tenancy Agreements and ensuring full regulatory compliance
Drafting and serving Section 13 notices
Keeping up to date with changes to tenancy legislation
Working with the onsite teams to understand the local markets
Updating utility providers and local authorities of tenancy changes
Ensuring all tenancies meet licencing requirements for the relevant local authority
Liaise with the Accounts Department to ensure accuracy of Tenant Demands, receipt of holding deposits and registration of Tenancy Deposits.
Undertake specific projects as requested by line manager
In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Previous property experience in an administrative capacity
Good organisational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills with a positive attitude and attention to detail
Excellent time management
Ability to multitask and to work accurately and effectively under pressure
Must understand the principles and practice of customer service
Ability to work in a team and understand team dynamics
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office
Working Hours - Fixed Term Contract April – October. Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm
Salary - £31K pro rata’d
