Service Charge Accounting Lead - Kings Cross Estate, London

Purpose of the Role
To act as the lead for the KX service charge function, overseeing end-to-end management of service charge expenditure and reporting while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead point of contact for Client and Savills for all onsite financial matters regarding the
· service charge and other associated funds managed by site.
· Active role providing management reports, data and analysis to support the Client, Savills
· team, and Senior Leadership Team for strategic and operational decisions.
· Ensure that all aspects of the Estate’s financial processes are completed in line with
· company policy, authority limits and controls.
· Review, monitoring and approval of purchase orders including Client’s own approval process.
· Reconcile supplier statement of accounts including SMR (Savills Management Resources)
· and utility providers.
· Monitor and reconcile insurance claims.
· Manage the SC analysis model
· Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly service charge budget vs actual
· reports (BVA) to be included within monthly management reports.
· Completing journals, accruals & prepayments.
· Carrying out mid-year reviews liaising with the site team, property managers etc.
· Assist Property & Estate Managers, Surveyors and other teams to resolve queries.
· Maintain / track Reserve fund expenditure.
· Key member in the closure of service charge accounts.
· Reconciling the balancing year end charges/credits due in conjunction with the Client
· Accounting team.
· Liaising with auditors and Savills Client Accountant team in connection with the company
· accounts as well as service charge accounts.
· Reporting to Client and Savills (standard and client specific reporting) ensuring all SLAs and
· KPIs are adhered to.
· Assist in the roll out of Estate Management financial and business support systems to include
· MRI, Proactis, eLogbook’s and PMIT developments.
· Constantly review procedures in line with the service delivery and best practice. Ensure that
· the Client Service department process is adhered to and report in line with the RICS client
· money rules and related best practice initiatives.
· Attend client and internal meetings as and when required.
· Annual property service charge reviews and liaise with Asset Manager and Service Charge
· Team to ensure completion within best practice guidelines
· Own and maintain the SC analysis model, delivering consistent budget management and cost analysis across 24 funds.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
· The individual will be a strong team player with the ability to meet strict deadlines and
· prioritise their workload.
· At least 3 years’ experience within a similar role
· Strong data analysis and excel skills
· Sound bookkeeping experience (accruals/prepayments)
Working Hours - 09:00 – 17:30
