Junior Designer - Savills Place, Ipswich
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person.
Purpose of the Role
This role is full time, based in central Ipswich operating within a small team. There will be constant liaison with other members of staff, freelance designers and clients in various UK locations to coordinate and deliver all design-based work. The artwork aspect of the role demands close attention to company budgets, detail, client briefs, timelines and work schedules. The role may require regular travel including some overnight stays. The company will meet the cost of such business expenses.
You will ideally have experience in a design position, however if you have a passion for digital and print design with strong design skills and a keen eye for detail then you could also be considered.
You will be responsible for curating and creating designs, touching up client and internal documents, issuing the external company communications including but not limited to, promotional emails and website. Web development skills and a solid understanding of Indesign are essential.
With the ability to manage a high workload, meet deadlines and prioritise tasks you are a driven and creative individual ready ensure the visual enhancement of products and services of the company and its clients. You will also support marketing initiatives through building promotional marketing emails by creating templates and designing/selecting the imagery to be used.
You will take an active role in presenting design work back to clients, supporting marketing campaigns and working alongside the Senior Creative Designer and Marketing team to help achieve the wider business goals.
The role also includes designing animated online ads for the company’s social media platforms and video editing. You will work cross-platform to provide design and graphics for websites, e-marketing and other digital media campaigns. You will assume responsibility for the creation of banner images for the websites and campaigns as well as creating web-ready product images for the websites through the manipulation of imagery to enhance products.
Key Responsibilities
· To provide Artwork and design support to senior creative.
· Respond to design briefs ensuring that projects are completed within schedule and reflect brand values.
· Communicate with stakeholders so all parties are kept up to date on progress and delivery, updating production schedules where necessary and keeping workflows meticulously organised.
· Maintain, monitor, update and develop the company online communication channels; Support with the copywriting of content and promotional material for websites, email campaigns, blogs and social media.
· Understand and analyse any relevant data to improve future communications.
· Send, schedule and plan communications for Savills Place and subsidiary companies, reporting to the Marketing Manager.
· Produce creative designs to suit the brief, with close attention to brand, accessibility, colours, typography, consistencies, print requirements etc.
· Pitch and present designs internally and to clients.
· Work alongside design agencies where required to apply artwork to agreed concepts.
· Prepare analytics report for social media and website.
· Creation of digital art/content, printed literature and assets – i.e. client presentations,
business plan designs, HTML emails, online marketing campaign assets.
· Proven knowledge of design standards, working practices and working to brand guidelines.
· Design and creation of company presentations.
· Maintain knowledge and understanding of brand and corporate guidelines.
· Accurately interpret and deliver on design briefs and liaise with clients where required.
· Create brands for clients.
· Ensure all produced artwork meets client and brand guidelines.
· Assist in raising the number of consumer/web visitors, unique sessions and referrals to the company websites.
· Research, detect and gather evidence on the latest marketing trends.
· Analyse and prepare online analytic reports with Marketing Manager to ensure marketing and communications remains informed and targeted in its approach.
· Support sales team with uploading events onto portals and online booking system (desired).

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
· A design / creative degree or equivalent qualification with an active interest in emerging design trends.
· Experience producing online and offline digital assets and printed collateral.
· Proven knowledge of design standards, working practices and working to brand guidelines.
· Extensive experience in the use of the Adobe creative suite.
· Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft suite.
· An understanding of CMS systems such as WordPress, Craft.
· An understanding on email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp.
· An understanding of HTML.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Confident in presenting to clients.
· Excellent time management and organisational skills.
· An excellent eye for detail.
· Extensive experience in the use of online media.
· An ability to work under pressure and multitask to achieve set targets and maintain
standards.
· Flexibility and can-do attitude.
· Team player.
· Good database skills.
· Understanding and a proven flair for marketing/comms.
· Ability to work on one’s own initiative, with communication of activities back to line Manager.
· Ability to work with professionalism and integrity at all times.
Desirable
· Experience of using Apple Macs
The candidate attributes detailed above are considered to be non-essential although training will be provided on more technical aspects of the role.
Working Hours - 09:00-17:30 (37.5 hours per week)
