Junior Marketing Executive (12 Month FTC) - Booth Street, Manchester

Purpose of the Role
The role of the Junior Marketing Executive is split into two distinct areas and your time will be split between them both. The first is to support and work closely with the team of Marketing Executives on the creation, scheduling and implementation of exciting, rich and relevant social media and website content across our portfolio of shopping centres, leisure centres and retail parks. The second is to support our paid media manager on advertising campaign planning, optimisation and reporting. As such, this role will report into one of our Marketing Managers but will also have a dotted line report into our Paid Media Manager. This role is offered on an initial 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
Key Responsibilities
Content management responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Managing social media pages via management tools such as sprout social;
Managing content plans and schedules, proof reading, editing and posting;
Growing social media audience across predominantly Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn;
Engaging with audiences on social, choosing who to follow, which conversations to join;
Ensuring tone of voice and brand guidelines are adhered to at all times;
Creation and uploading of blogs across multiple websites;
Review social and website content and feed your ideas and observations into our reporting;
Undertake regular detailed competitor analysis;
Internal stakeholder liaison and engagement.
Paid media responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
· Assist the Paid Media Manager with the planning of campaigns, attending client meetings and assisting the team on writing briefs, setting goals, determining targeting and securing sign-off from marketing managers.
· Assist the Paid Media Manager with the creation of campaigns and getting them ready to be set live.
· Be responsible for conducting mid-campaign reviews, checking spend limits and providing the Paid Media Manager with a daily update on any issues, proposed tweaks or actions.
· You will be responsible for monthly KPI tracking and quarterly commentary across our reporting. Sharing your observations and recommendations, as well as highlighting campaign performance. You will get reports ready for the Paid Media Manager to review, sign-off and submit to clients.
· You will assist the Paid Media team with ongoing maintenance of our paid media accounts, making sure that platforms are running and receiving data properly, especially across Display Ads and PPC.
· You will assist the Paid Media team with the organisation of invoices and receipts for all campaign activity.
· Have a keen interest in expanding your industry knowledge and keeping up with the never ending changes within the paid media industry. We need you to be knowledgeable and up to date with any changes across the paid media outlets, particularly with regards to Meta and Google.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential to have a keen interest in social media and to be familiar with and regularly using multiple platforms: Instagram and TikTok in particular.
Essential to have a keen interest in paid media, particularly digital advertising.
Essential to have strong copywriting skills.
Essential to have strong communication skills.
Essential to be very organised and able to work to deadlines.
Essential to have a marketing degree and to have studied digital advertising OR have equivalent experience.
Desirable to be familiar with Google Analytics.
Desirable to have undertaken previous work experience that involved marketing.
Working Hours - 37.5 hours per week (9am-5:30pm with 1 hour for lunch)
